Our work: the nutrition tied to long-term treatments.
We study the nutrition of people who follow a long-term treatment. It is a work of research before it is a brand. Our supplements are what that research eventually produced.

Layer was born from something very simple that we kept seeing around us. Someone close to us begins a treatment that will last several years. The diagnosis is made, the prescription is clear, the doctor has done their job. Then comes the first question of ordinary life, the one about meals, about tiredness, about what one should eat or avoid. And there, most of the time, no one is on the other end of the line.
Millions of people know this scene. You follow a statin, a metformin, a PPI or a contraceptive, sometimes for half your life. The doctor watches over the illness, and that is already immense. The pharmacist checks the interactions. But the food that goes along with all those years, the food that could make daily life a little lighter, remains a grey area that everyone crosses alone, somewhere between the forums and the received ideas.
We found it hard to accept. This was not a matter for specialists, it was the daily life of ordinary people, and almost no one cared about it. We decided to make it our work. Before offering anything at all, we wanted to understand. The starting question fit into a single line: what does a treatment followed for years really ask of our food?
We stepped into the research.

So we stepped into the research, into the reviews and the studies, there where the knowledge already exists but stays unreadable for almost everyone. It lies dormant in a technical vocabulary, scattered across thousands of publications, often hidden behind paywalls. We read, compared, cross-checked, and we set out to bring order to this vast body of material.
From that work our atlas was born. It links each molecule to what the literature says about it and translates it into a language you can understand without being a doctor. Today it gathers hundreds of molecules and thousands of medications, and it keeps growing. We keep it open and free, because what you learn about your own health should cost nothing. You can consult it with no account and no purchase, and it will always stay that way.
What the research eventually showed.
By gathering everything together, one thing became obvious. On this precise ground, almost nothing existed. On one side, the multivitamins on the shelves address everyone and therefore answer no one's situation. On the other, the prescription does its job, but it stops at the medication. Between the two, for treatments that millions of people follow, no one had taken the time to build a real answer.
And that answer could not be a single one. The nutritional markers that the research highlights are not the same from one treatment to another. What stands out for a person on a statin has little to do with what stands out on metformin or on a PPI. An average formula, made to suit everyone, could not fit this reality. There had to be as many answers as there are situations.
One treatment, One answer.
Since nothing existed, we made it.

That is the moment Layer became a brand. We could have taken a ready-made supplement and stuck our name on it, as so many others have done. We chose the slower path. We formulated an answer ourselves for each major family of treatment, starting from what the literature establishes most firmly and never from what sells best.
Our formulas do not try to impress with a long list of active ingredients. They keep what matters for a given situation, at the doses and in the forms that the studies validate. Behind every choice there is a reason we know and can explain to you.
That is where our name comes from. A Layer supplement is a layer you add on top of the treatment, to complete what it does not cover. It comes in addition to the medication and never in its place, and you always take it with your doctor's agreement. With us, the product does not begin the story. It ends it, because it exists only thanks to the research that came before it.
What we hold to.
Three principles bind us, and they will not move. The first rests on proof. We assert nothing we cannot show, every page points back to the literature, and where science has not settled the matter, we write so instead of filling the gap with promises. The second rests on our place. We speak nutrition and not medicine, we do not play the doctor, and on your treatment the last word always belongs to yours. The third shows in practice. For some treatments there is nothing useful to add, and our pages say so clearly rather than invent a need.
Let's start with your treatment.
That is where Layer comes from, and what we keep doing every day. If you follow a long-term treatment, the simplest thing is to start from your own. You will see what the research says about it, then the answer we drew from it. And if you came only to learn, the atlas stays open, as it always has been.
